"We recently had a major hurricane that very heavily impacted our area. My neighborhood is currently one of the hardest hit with catastrophic level damages.
The morning after the storm, we found that trees had been uprooted and tossed all over the property, hitting almost everything. Of course with no power and lights anywhere it was hard to assess what was hit and what was spared. I can tell you that it was nearly 9 hours of digging through rubble to locate all of our neighbors to ensure everyone was at least still alive.
Before the sun went down on that Friday, I did do a walk around to assess the damage on the back half of the property. The first thing I noticed was of course the large gaping hole in the tree line where we were the day before surrounded by trees. That is now not the case, and I expected the worse since these were all large trees in excess of 75 feet tall trees.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the entire pool enclosure appeared to be standing in place with no movement, though covered in branches and debris, none of the trunks seemed to hit the enclosure. Upon closer inspection I found that two large trees (roots and all) had been lifted out of the ground and deposited on the deck of the pool and the dive shop sitting right at the end of the pool just three feet from the end of the enclosure.
The first thing I thought was, this was the best purchase I ever made! I truly can’t believe how well the enclosure held up in this storm. As a tornado ripped through my back yard amidst a category 3 hurricane this pool enclosure stood tall and held its place like nothing ever seen. The entire roof was blown off my neighbor’s house and most of my shingles were blown onto the enclosure, but there was no visible damage done to the enclosure.
I have not been able to fully open the cover and ensure that the entire track is still solid but I don’t see any visible signs that would lead me to believe anything was moved or bent.
There was a small amount of debris and leaves that got under the enclosure, I assume blown through the rubber seals between the panels. But when I say a small amount, I mean just enough to fill a single scoop with the leaf rake bag, and not full.
The water stayed clear, and the temperature has held throughout the entire ordeal. I will need to do some cleaning of the panels, but overall, this is one tough product.
I am a CPO and do my own maintenance of the pool. As well as serving as CPO for several other pools in the area. I have been a big advocate of this system and have given several reviews and demonstrations of the system to my other clients. I take the opportunities to show them what I use for my pool, and boast about the savings in chemical expenses since your team installed it. I have reduced my chemical expenses nearly 96% per month since your team was here. I have saved hundreds of dollars in chemicals already and will save even more this year since I won’t need to close the pool for the fall/winter.
